I tore my first th400 apart tonight. everything looked good inside no broken parts, infact it was so clean compared to the other trans's I've done I'd say it was rebuilt recently. I'm waiting to hear from jakeshoe about the trans and info.

So your going the automatic route hun? No more rowin gears for you? Now you will have no excuss to drive that thing to OC MD next year. Might as well sell your truck while your at it. Oooh and no need for your left leg, might as well donate that to a research facility ....... ;D ;D ;D

2800 to 3200 TSI depending on motor size and torque. according to what I've read should be 3200. I saw them on ebay and then read a post by jakeshoe on TC and he recommended them. I'm buying the rebuild kit from Jake. I found this link also by jake. www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58578 he replyed to my PM with in half hour last night very informative. check out his website too.

I found out I have to make some new tools at work for the th400 before I put it back together. nothing major just a clamp and piston spring compressor. all the ones I made before were for FO*D transmsissions I did.

NOT permanent, I enjoy the 4 speed TOO much. ;D And this is probably as close as I'll get.

Dan, I'm just giving you some good old PACC ribbing. I'm predicting 11.2 with the tubo 400. Maybe we can get you to go head to head with Bob Wilcox at Cecil next summer at the MCC show!

sounds great Rick you'll be the "PA-CC Transmission Expert" in no time... I have a power glide trans. laying around if you know anyone looking for one. came out of a running 307 car and ran fine all stock internals and torque converter. Great core for a high -po drag glide trans. rebuild. By the way the black camaro is going to get transmission rebuilt. It was dripping trans. fluid at last grudge night but Sunday after our car show drip became a steady stream spraying on the driver side header thought it was the torque converter seal...it turned out the front pump is leaking. going in trans. shop Friday morning will be done next Friday. all ready for the 27th...
