I didn't get laid off,I got fired for some BS that happened. It's gonna be real hard for me to find another job making what I was making. Adam, Sounds like your former employer was looking to cut some high paying jobs and found/made a reason to fire you. I've seen this a few times in the past. I Hope everything works out for you. Yeah,I know.Everyone is telling me that. They are slow right now to.

Did you get the cam kit yet? If not I would look for something a little better. The thumper line is designed to give you more of a lope at the sacrifice of performance.

if your going to go roller, i would get something that is custom ground. thats the way i should have went. its only a few bucks more for a custom ground one then an off the shelf, and it will fit your package better.
even if its not a roller, you could always benefit from a custom one over an off the shelf.
but i agree.. throw atleast an XE line cam in, or a voodoo.

Yes I already have the cam kit. It was custom ground to fit my engine, trans, rear gears, torque converter, and what I wanted to do with my car as far as street/strip use. It was designed to help my top end as my bottom end wasn't built with a lot of compression. I will gain a lil performance and yes we did design it with a lil lope but it will keep my fuel mileage and rpm's low for highway driving. It's not a thumper cam "Baby Thumper Cam" was just a name we gave it after we designed it for my set up. As far as roller cams...I hate the "tick" from them and I'm not impressed with roller cams. I spent the better part of a month looking at lots of cam specs and getting lots of advice before deciding to have it custom ground by comp cams.

Rumor has it that a 4X4 crate will be headed my way next friday. I wonder what is inside No it's not Dave's new Helmet or Dan's new wheels or Joe's 400 from the crusher. Maybe it's 475 cubic inches, 575 hp at 4K, to win the PACC/MG challenge ;D or just enough foot lbs of torque for tire shredding love to smoke out you jokers.

cool.
i have never heard a hydro roller tick. i have 199k miles on my lt1 and no ticking. and it takes a beating. my valves make noise in the chevelle because i cant keep a d**n poly lock tight. but when they are adjusted, no ticking. voodoo cam gm lifters.

Sounds like a Mark Jones built 475? Am I right? You are correct! I can't wait! Mark said to remind you to re-torque the heads on your 505 once you get it running. He just wants you to do it as a precautionary measure.

I just got my computer working again. It seems I am breaking everything this winter. Finally got my car most of the way back together. I tried taking it for a spin arround the block. Not the best idea. I kind of forgot to tighten the distributor, but no big deal.
