Welcome Eric!!!!!!!
Yes let's hear about your car, enquiring minds want to know.
This is a great site and these guys do a lot of fun things together.
Makes me almost wish to live out there. PA winters are just to cold and long for me.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. I was on the yahoo group for a while but didn't get around to registering on the new boards. My car is a 69 SS Convertible. Fathom Green with white top. Its all original with a numbers matching motor thats in pieces in my garage. I bought the car from my uncle a couple years ago after he moved and couldn't keep the car. I've been trying to get him to sell it to me for 20 years so even though I really couldn't afford it at the time it was a once in a lifetime chance. The reason the engine is in pieces is because he'd taken it apart to see what kind of condition it was in. Its only got 74K original miles on it. Its currently sitting in my garage waiting for the motor to be put back together. I've got 3 and 1 year olds so my free time is somewhat limited. Sooner or later I need to find a reputable engine builder in this area who can clean up the motor and put it back together for me. Any suggestions?
Hope to meet with you all sooner or later.
Later,
Eric Finn

Eric, You should PM Dave (BLN) blue 67 rag top, as he lives just down the road and would probably have a good idea in that area who to use.

Yes its a 396 325HP car, although my uncle put an aftermarket cam/intake on it about 20 years ago. I am just looking for a stock rebuild. Maybe bore it out a tad to touch up the cylinder walls if need be, but nothing major. I don't want to chance ruining the original numbers matching block. That's also why I'm not going to do it myself. :-) I'll try and dig up some pictures but I can't find any right now. Must be on another computer. A name/number for this shop would be greatly appreciated, Dave. Have you been to any of the local shows? Got any pics of your car? Eric

Automotive Industrial machining 791 rte 113 215-723-9301 Thanks, Dave. Out of curiousity, why do you recommend this shop? I've also heard about a shop in Schwenksville (can't find the name) and Jess Miller in West Chester. Thanks, Eric

from the things you said ..2 kids . clean up the motor. I was under the impression you just wanted a basic stock rebuild. dont make any quick decisions untill we get more details. and lets see if any one else has heard of these others you mentioned

I hate to add this in, but I know a guy in coatesville that does great work. I think my brother's roomate went to Jess Miller in W. Chester. I will see if I can find him and ask him what kind.
