Ok Here You Go - For Years And Years The Wife and I had Gone To Shows. and Just Love Muscle cars. In 2004 We Went To A Few Local so Called Muscle/Classic Car Dealers and Was Very Disappointed In What we Saw and How The Cars Were Presented. So After about Year Of Research and E-Mail Contact we Went To VOLO In Illinois. And Let Me Tell You What a Great Experience. We went With A 12 Car List Of What We Wanted To Drive and a Check Out. When It was All Said and Done It Came Down To 2 cars - 1970 Chevelle SS 454 Hardtop Replica and a 1972 400 Numbers Matching Convertible. It Was Not An Easy Decision. And It Was The " 70" For The Simple Reason That we Wanted To Drive It Everywhere And Never Have To Worry about "Stuff" . We Drive It on Average so Far 5,000 Miles a Year And We Love Everything About It. 454 HO Performance crate Motor. 700R4 Transmission. 3.73 Richmond Rear. Functional Cowl Induction. 4 Wheel Disc Brakes. Custom Metallic Silver With Black Stripes. We Did Get Paperwork From The Restoration That Shows The Car was Restored In Texas In 2001 ( This Is Why we Think It Is " Cowboys" Silver Which I Hate But It Looks Good On This car). It Is An Arlington Build In The 2 Week of May 1970 Originally Champagne Gold I Found This Site While Surfing Chevelle Tech. We Go To Shows , Went To The Chester County Show Last Weekend and The Ocean City Cruise The Weekend Before. Some are Good - Some Not so Good. We Don't Go Looking for Trophy's , Just To Hear People Say. " Boy I Remember When My Dad Had One Of Those" & " My Sister Had A Red One Of Those" And To Help people reminisce about the good ole' Days When Cars Were Cars.
