My oil pan rubs my crossmember. My original thought was that the motor mounts were wrong but after some reading,I am leaning toward the oil pan,It is a Milidon but not sure which one. My question are stock oil pans diiferent to allow more clearaance?

Ted I talked a little but about your problem with Leon and you mechanic (Can't recall his name) The pan I'm using on my car is a 6 qt moroso pan. I believe yours to be a 7 qt pan. The pan I'm using doesn't hang below the cross member at all and has plenty of side clearence. You may need a new smaller pan. Just my input

is this the oil pan you have I had this on the chevelle in the first motor and there was plent of clearance. the front of the pan did stick below the crossmember. the moroso pan did hit the crossmember and the crossover brake line. I helped Jim install the motor in his 70 and this pan fit the 70 crossmember better than it fit the 67. the circle shows where I cut the corner of the sump back and welded on a new piece of metal to clear the crossmember. The brake line I rerouted to the front of the crossmember.
