Took my 750 Holley apart and Installed a new proform body only thing I changed was a new power valve went to a 4.5. When I installed carb and started engine it revs up so high I have to shut key off what did I do wrong what should I look at first

Not sure? Robb from Chaddsford should hopefully chime in as he has done this conversion on his Holley.

Duhhh lets see Engine cant run if throttle is closed so Lets see oH yeah linkage was in wrong hole which was like stepping on the gas put it in the smaller hole everything is fine had to reset it sounds good idles good ,did not drive it yet it started to rain we will see on Weds

Well I thought I was ok till I drove it ran like crap. Starved for gas Went for gaskets because the ones they sent me didnt look right on metering blocks only to discover the carb body is different it must be for a 650 or750 with vacuum secondaries not a double pumper. Well back to the old body had enough grief on off on off on off I am high in gas fumes
