Well Dave and Sean were all most Admins... As we were heading (flying) to a meeting down in Orlando FL Thursday morning we we had a mishap. It was soupy all the way down to NC - our fuel stop. Weather was bad but not horrible - awesome flight actually - 1500FT ceiling and rather strong cross winds on our final approach considering the strong cross winds everything was fine albet bumpy. We then had some what of a crash/incident landing, I think my friend (I wasn't flying) did a good job bringing it in, we hit the runway then bounced back up in the air (I think is was up draft) and stalled (which means the plane loses lift and falls straight down like a rock) and slammed down very hard - had a prop strike then thrown to right into the grass and literally just escaped going into a 10ft ditch next to the runway. Because the grass was so muddy the plane wasn't reacting to left rudder at first, thankfully it did before we hit the embankment otherwise it would have been real bad. The plane is damaged and unflyable - my back is a little sore from slamming down so hard but thankfully no serious injuries. Never a dull moment.

Tower to Dan..... Tower to Dan.... you are clear to land in the cornfeild.
Glad all is well, get that back checked out so the G-forces at Maple Grove don't affect you next spring.

Reynolds Wrap Quality Aluminum Foil. It's the strongest on the market. Dave makes all his mock up helmets from it.
