Hi guys,
I want to become a member to the PA Chevelle Club. I e-mailed two different addresses and no one has responded back to me yet. If your not taking any members at this time could someone please just let me know. I'm getting my car back on the road by spring time and i want to hit the road running with a club. ;D

We are an informal club. We don't have regular meetings but we try and get together for car shows and cruises on a reguar basis.
Feel free to use this as your offical membership notice.

I live in York (Seven Valley's area). Im 33yrs old and I've had my car since i was 15. With the marrige thing and then kids I dropped the tags and all that stuff for about 13yrs. Im sure some of you know all too well about that. So now my kids are getting older and settled down a little more (finatually) that i can put some TLC back into my 1st love[/u]. Really the only thing I'm doing right now is exhaust, repainting my org rims and some brake work w/ the booster and cylinder. I have a '71' SS blue w/ white stripes and black interier. The body is in pretty good shape. Its starting to blister in the usuall places. Engine needs painted and very little interier work. But its mine and I just want to get out and enjoy it w/ my kids while I can. Later on I'll do a ground up.

So w/ the Club thing your telling me we dont get the "T"-bird jackets (Grease movie) and all get together and race some big boat Tarrino's. Ha Ha just kidding. Well thats cool and if for some reason you want to get a formal club please I'll be 1st in line w/ dues $$$.

So what all shows do you guys like to hit? York (NSRA), Bloomsburg, Super Chevy and so. What about the beach? Do you guys get a group rate on the rooms and how many people do you get to go down?

Usually the big event is the ocean city cruise. We get a bunch of us down there every year. Since I work most weekends I don't make it to to many shows but I know A few people do get to some local shows.

We usually hit the Ocean City MD show. Last year we had 5 guys...this year should be more.
You are the farthest guy west so far. Some are in the lancaster area , I'm in the middle in chester county, West Chester, and we hava few in Hatfeild and Trevose. We hit cruises all over. 67Chevelle(Ted) seems to be the cruise director.

Have any of you went to the Bloomsburg show? I plan on going to the beach and York but I'd like to hear what Bloom has.

I went to school at Bloom. My brother in law made it over to the cruise last year. He said it was great. They shut down main street with cars lined up 4 rows wide. I'd like to hit that show this year.
