FOR SALE: A freshly rebuilt 402c.i, 2 bolt main CE (warranty replacement) L34 engine assembly-stamped CE1 (for 1971 calendar year engine warranty replacement). Originally in a Black Cherry '70 Chevelle SS built in Kansas. This 402 engine has casting# 3969854. Expertly rebuilt by Mark Small in Westminster, MD. Dyno-tested and puts out over 400hp @ 5500rpm. Intake is dated '70. Heads are dated '70 (casting # 3964290) are closed chamber and have bronze guides, new everything, ported and polished. Performance 5-angle valve job. Block has been pressure tested and the crankshaft has been balanced. Cylinders bored .030" over and line-honed. Sealed Power forged pistons and rods, new hydraulic flat-tappet lifters, good idling Crane camshaft (MV-272 2A), Cloyse double roller timing chain. 10:1 compression ratio. Built to run on 93 octane pump gas. This engine has been broken in, dyno-tested, has no issues and is ready to go. I have receipts for all the work. Set up for use with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 2500 stall speed torque converter. A superbly rebuilt engine by a reputable engine builder.
