Dan my QVC airing got cancelled for Sunday evening ;D so how does 11am work for you and Joe? That will give you time to re-paint the freshly sandblasted bellhousing several times in the am so it will be dry when we bolt it up . Joe, do you have a fly wheel wrench?

Haven't been able to find my flywheel wrench as of yet Sean. Still looking never fails when I need a tool I can't find it and when I don't need it I see it all the time...lol. Have to check my oldest sons bedroom he's always stealing tools to fix his g/f's bikes...probably thought it was a sprocket holder tool for back wheel on the bikes... Same time Sunday Dan?

First a HUGE thanks to Sean, Joe and Chad!!! I could not do this with out the help from you guys; again I can not thank you guys enough. I am stressed and my brain isn't working very well these days, so they are keeping me in line. I better thank our Super Moderator as well, as he might ban me or delete my account. ;D I big thanks to Dave (aka "Super Mod") Though he arrived very late and in clean clothes, he did show up. Update: I am having clearance issues with my Lakewood bellhousing and my Hooker Super Comps. Anyone else run into this problem?

I just got a new tool that might come in handy for your trans install Dan!!!! ;D Are you sure I shouldn't bring this thing along next time Dan? Those headers wouldn't be a problem anymore! ;D

what kind of clearance? are the flanges of the bellhousing hitting the header tubes. when I install mine I have to angle one side back and then push the side installed first against the header to get the other side in. mark the bellhousing where it hits and take it to a garage and have them notch it. How far outside the sides engine block do the flanges stick out?
WARNING: before you bolt the bellhousing on completely test fit your starter. I had to grind out my block plate for the starter to fit in right. make sure you tighten the starter bolts. thats how I found out my starter hit the plate
Do you need the master fabricator/mechanic down there?

Dan, I think you have two options: 1. Call Classic Chevy and see what they say about the McLeod Bellhousing they have for sale. 2. Just have the Lakewood bellhousing trimmed to what we marked yesterday. I would do this first as you own it!
And get a 26 spline clutch alignment tool so you can proceed once the bellhousing issue is solved.
